MUSCAT – The Pakistan Social Club (PSC) in Oman has announced the return of its popular Ramadan Soft Ball Cricket Tournament, one of the highlights of Muscat’s community sporting calendar.

In a statement, PSC said the tournament will be held at the newly upgraded grounds of Pakistan School Muscat, bringing back the much-anticipated event with renewed energy and an enhanced format.

Mohammad Kaleem Akhtar, head and chief organiser of the tournament, said this year’s edition will feature several new attractions alongside the daily cricket matches to create a vibrant, family-friendly Ramadan atmosphere.

“In addition to the matches, we are organising a Ramadan Bazaar with clothing stalls, food outlets, children’s games, small quiz competitions and daily lucky draws, making it a complete community gathering during the holy month,” he said.

The tournament is scheduled to commence on Sunday, Feb. 22, with matches to be played daily at the Pakistan School Muscat ground.

Chief Coordinator Jamil Zaidi said participants of all nationalities are welcome to take part, highlighting the inclusive nature of the event.

The team registration fee has been fixed at 50 Omani rials. Registration forms can be requested via WhatsApp at 90618331 or collected from Al Hakal Hotel in Ghubra, Ravi Restaurant in Ruwi and Pizza Modo outlets, Deputy Chief Organiser Mohsin Sheikh said.

PSC General Secretary Kashif Ahmed Zaeem said teams can deposit the registration fee directly into the club’s bank account and must submit the completed form along with a copy of the deposit receipt to Teams Coordinator Haider Ali at 98205053.

PSC Chairman Nadeem Azeemi and Vice Chairman Zahid Shakoor thanked the organising committee and conveyed their best wishes for the smooth and successful conduct of the tournament.

The club invited the wider community to participate and support the event, which aims to promote unity, healthy competition and community engagement during Ramadan.
