Oman Customs shortens storage time limits for goods at ports and airports

The Directorate General of Customs has introduced new time limits for goods in customs yards and warehouses, shortening storage periods for air, sea, and land freight.

MUSCAT : Under the new regulations, the allowed storage period for goods imported via air freight has been reduced from 90 days to 45 days.

For goods arriving through sea ports and land borders, the previous 180-day limit has been shortened to 90 days.

Additionally, the time permitted for abandoned goods or items with unknown owners has been revised from 90 days to 60 days.
