RIYADH – He described the move as a blatant violation of international law and UN resolutions, and an extension of illegal settlement policies that require a firm international response.
His Excellency emphasised that such actions constitute a direct violation of the rights of the Palestinian people and a systematic attempt to seize their lands, defying both the international community and longstanding UN resolutions affirming the illegality of settlements and the necessity of ending the occupation.
He called on the international community to take immediate and practical measures to halt these violations and compel Israeli authorities to cease settlement activities and unilateral decisions that threaten regional security and stability.
Reiterating the GCC’s position, His Excellency affirmed full support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the June 4, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with the Arab Peace Initiative and relevant international resolutions.
