MUSCAT — German triathlete Christoph Matner clinched the Middle East title at the Ironman 70.3 Muscat, delivering a commanding performance to win the race in 3 hours and 51 minutes.
Matner crossed the finish line ahead of France’s Alexandre Kael, who secured second place with a time of 3 hours and 53 minutes. Portugal’s Rafael Dominguez completed the podium, finishing third in 3 hours and 55 minutes.
The event in Muscat drew elite triathletes from across the region and beyond, with competitors tackling the demanding swim, cycle and run segments of the 70.3-mile course.
