His Majesty Sultan Haitham issues three Royal Decrees, including GCC industrial and customs regulations

Decrees cover unified industrial regulation law, amendments to GCC customs law and ambassadorial appointment.

MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Wednesday issued three Royal Decrees covering industrial regulation, customs law amendments and a diplomatic appointment, according to Oman News Agency.

Under Royal Decree No. 27/2026, the Sultan ratified the Law on the Unified Industrial Regulation System of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. The decree provides for the implementation of the unified regulatory framework governing industrial activities across GCC member states.

Royal Decree No. 28/2026 amends certain provisions of the Unified Customs Law of the GCC states. The amendments are aimed at updating aspects of the common customs framework applicable across the bloc.

Meanwhile, Royal Decree No. 29/2026 appoints Taher bin Faiz bin Khalfan Al Alawi, Oman’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Spain, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Sultanate of Oman to the Principality of Andorra, in a non-resident capacity.
