Muscat: A phone call was held between His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, and His Excellency Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, within the framework of continuous consultation and coordination between the two brotherly countries.
According to a statement issued by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Al Busaidi briefed his Egyptian counterpart on the progress of negotiations held in Amman between the United States and Iran.
The Egyptian minister expressed appreciation for the important and constructive role played by the Sultanate of Oman in this vital file, particularly its efforts in hosting and facilitating negotiations. He stressed that Egypt will continue its intensive efforts to de-escalate tensions and contain rising regional instability.
