HARARE — India secured a record-extending sixth ICC Under-19 World Cup title on Friday, crushing England Under-19 cricket team by 100 runs in a high-scoring final at Harare Sports Club.

After winning the toss, India Under-19 cricket team piled up a formidable 411 for nine in their 50 overs, driven by a sensational innings from Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who smashed 175 off just 80 balls. He was well supported by Ayush Mhatre, whose composed 53 off 51 deliveries helped India maintain relentless momentum throughout the innings.

Chasing a daunting target, England began brightly with opener Ben Dawkins raising a half-century, while Thomas Rew and Ben Mayes added quick runs in the middle overs. However, mounting scoreboard pressure triggered a collapse, with England slipping from 174 for three to 177 for seven.

A valiant counter-attack from Caleb Falconer, who struck a rapid 115 off 67 balls, briefly revived hopes, but the target proved too steep. England were eventually bowled out for 311, sealing a comprehensive 100-run victory for India and underlining their dominance at the Under-19 level.
