Royal Oman Police announces temporary road closures in Muscat for Tour of Oman 2026 classic stage

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has announced partial road closures on Friday, February 6, 2026, during the Muscat Classic Stage of the Tour of Oman 2026.

MUSCAT : The ROP, through its Directorate of Relations and Security Information, stated that parking will be prohibited on both sides of the roads along the race route to ensure the safety of participants and the public.

The race is scheduled to start at 10:55 am from the Al Mouj Muscat project, proceeding along the coastal road in the Wilayat of Seeb to Ma’abela Bridge, then turning north from the Ma’abela traffic lights towards Al Salam Street.

From there, it will turn right onto Al Khoud Street up to the sixth Al Khoud traffic lights intersection, then turn at the traffic lights of the Military and Security Medical City Hospital in Al Khoud before heading towards the Rasail area.

The route continues through the Wilayat of Bausher, passing Falaj Al Sham, Al Ansab, and the village of Ghalah, then proceeds to the Wilayat of Al Amarat via the mountain road, arriving at the Al Mahaj area.

The cyclists will turn north at the Mahaj Bridge intersection towards Wadi ARoad, then right to the Hamriyah area, head north to Qantab, return to Al Bustan Roundabout, continue north to the Hamriyah and Yiti areas, proceed to Qantab, turn from Al Bustan Roundabout to Sidab, and the stage will conclude in front of the Oman Council.
