DUBAI : Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai, on Tuesday awarded Abdoulie Jobe, Gambia’s Minister of Tourism and Culture, the World’s Best Minister Award 2026 during the World Government Summit.
Jobe was selected from a shortlist of 10 ministers in recognition of what organisers described as his ability to translate policy into tangible outcomes, drive innovation and deliver measurable social impact.
The award honours public officials whose initiatives are considered scalable beyond national borders and capable of inspiring governments worldwide to improve public service delivery, including through the use of advanced technologies and digital solutions.
