Muscat: Following the recent announcement of its national community driven technology platform vision, TechOman has announced the appointment of Anum Kamran as Vice President, marking the first leadership appointment since the platform’s launch.

The appointment reflects TechOman’s commitment to building a strong, experience-led leadership team to support Oman’s growing technology and innovation ecosystem in alignment with Oman Vision 2040.

Anum Kamran is a tech entrepreneur, ecosystem builder, and global mentor with over 15 years of experience supporting startups, MSMEs, and innovation-driven organizations across emerging markets. She is the founder of Buyon.pk, bootstrapped e-commerce marketplaces, which enabled more than 10,000 small businesses to digitize and access nationwide markets through a sustainable, founder-led growth model.

Throughout her career, Anum has worked closely with founders and institutions through prominent regional and global platforms, including Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy, Standard Chartered Women in Tech, National Incubation Centers, Founder Institute, and Hult Prize. Her expertise spans operational scaling, go-to-market strategy, ecosystem development, and founder decision-making.

Anum is also an Alibaba eFounders Fellow, a UNCTAD-backed initiative recognizing high-impact digital entrepreneurs from emerging economies, and a graduate of the U.S. International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP), where she engaged with policymakers, innovation hubs, and entrepreneurship enablers in the United States.
