Qawwali Night draws 4,000-plus audience at Muscat Nights Festival

MUSCAT : Pakistan Social Club Oman, in collaboration with the Embassy of Pakistan, successfully organised a soul-stirring Qawwali Night at the Open Theatre of the Muscat Nights Festival on Friday, January 24, 2026, as part of the festival’s official cultural programme.

The event witnessed an overwhelming turnout of more than 4,000 people, making it one of the most memorable and highly attended cultural evenings in the history of Muscat Nights. The spiritually uplifting evening featured mesmerising performances by renowned Qawwals Ustad Fareed Ayaz Sahib and Janab Abu Muhammad Sahib, along with their brothers, whose powerful renditions of classical Qawwali kept the audience captivated throughout the programme.

The performance created an atmosphere of devotion, harmony, and cultural pride. The programme began at 8:00 pm and concluded at 10:30 pm, drawing continuous applause and appreciation from the audience, underscoring the resounding success of the event.

Pakistan Social Club Oman expressed its sincere appreciation to the management of Muscat Nights, especially Dr Eng Nasser Salim Al Sadi and his dedicated team, for providing a prestigious platform to showcase Pakistan’s rich spiritual and cultural heritage at Oman’s premier cultural festival. Their cooperation, professionalism, and support were instrumental in ensuring the flawless execution of the programme.

The success of the evening was driven by the tireless efforts of the Pakistan Social Club Oman team under the leadership of Mohammad Nadeem Azeemi (Chairman), Zahid Shakoor (Vice Chairman), Imran Toor (Finance Director), Kashif Ahmed Zaeem (General Secretary), Mohammad Kaleem Akhtar (Joint Secretary), Shaandar Bokhari (Director), and Azra Aleem (Director), supported by a committed group of volunteers who ensured seamless coordination. The presence and support of the Embassy of Pakistan further enhanced the stature and success of the event.

Special appreciation was extended to Syed Fayyaz Ali Shah for his exceptional efforts in organising and coordinating the programme. His dedication and active involvement, along with his presence at the venue alongside senior Muscat Nights officials, played a key role in the event’s success.
