MUSCAT – The municipality is using advanced traffic simulation programmes to explore the potential impact of various solutions, allowing planners to systematically test and evaluate options before implementation. The study takes into account the effect of proposed measures on the entire network, enabling the creation of a detailed plan covering short-, medium-, and long-term improvements.
According to Muscat Municipality, the approach ensures that traffic management strategies are data-driven, efficient, and aligned with the evolving needs of the city’s road infrastructure.
