MUSCAT : The North Al Batinah Governorate Police Command, in cooperation with the Special Tasks Police Unit in Sohar, confirmed that the arrests were made after one of the suspects was caught drifting and showing off in a vehicle without license plates.
The dangerous manoeuvres resulted in a crash with three vehicles, after which the driver fled the scene. A second individual, who was accompanying the driver at the time of the incident, was also apprehended.
Authorities said legal procedures are currently being completed against them.
