CAIRO : Oman and Egypt reaffirmed their support for the Yemeni political dialogue and efforts to reach a comprehensive and sustainable settlement to the conflict, the two countries’ foreign ministers said on Wednesday.
Oman’s Foreign Minister His Excellency Sayyid Badr Al Busaidi and Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry made the remarks during talks in Cairo, according to an official statement.
The ministers said they backed the Saudi-led Yemeni-Yemeni talks being held in Riyadh, describing them as a key pathway toward a consensual solution to the southern Yemeni issue and the broader conflict.

They stressed the need for an inclusive political settlement that safeguards Yemen’s sovereignty, unity and stability, and meets the aspirations of its people for security and prosperity.
The meeting also reviewed regional developments and bilateral relations, the statement said, underscoring Muscat and Cairo’s shared approach to supporting dialogue and de-escalation in the region.
