Muscat: Net electricity production also posted solid growth, increasing by 4.3 per cent to reach 46,984 GWh by the end of November 2025, compared to 45,448 GWh in the corresponding period last year.

At the governorate level, North Al Batinah, South Al Batinah and Al Dhahirah emerged as the top contributors to net electricity production, jointly generating 27,980.8 GWh. This was followed by North Al Batinah and South Al Sharqiyah governorates with a combined output of around 9,975.9 GWh, while Dhofar Governorate recorded net production of 4,907.8 GWh. In contrast, Muscat Governorate saw a notable decline in net electricity production, falling by 17.6 per cent compared to the same period in 2024.

In the water sector, total water production by the end of November 2025 stood at approximately 466.5 million cubic metres, marking a decrease of 2.2 per cent from 476.9 million cubic metres recorded during the same period last year.

Muscat Governorate accounted for the largest share of water production at 187.2 million cubic metres, followed by Dhofar Governorate with about 69.8 million cubic metres. The remaining governorates together produced a total of 209.5 million cubic metres.
