Muscat: The MoCIIP, through its Directorate General of Standards and Metrology, confirmed that the move aims to uphold national quality standards and ensure product conformity across the Sultanate of Oman. The directive applies to all relevant entities operating within the retail, manufacturing, import, and distribution sectors.
To comply, businesses must apply for or renew their Omani Quality Mark licence through the Hazm Platform, using approved conformity assessment bodies. The ministry has also published a list of mandatory products, accessible via QR code, for which the quality mark will be required.
