Muscat — Rescue teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA) responded to an emergency incident in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate after a woman fell while practising mountain hiking in a rugged area of Wadi Shab, in the Wilayat of Tiwi, authorities said.
In a statement, the authority said its teams were able to reach the injured woman despite the difficult terrain, provide her with on-site emergency medical care, and safely evacuate her from the valley.
She was subsequently transported to hospital to receive further treatment. No additional details were provided on the extent of her injuries.
