MUSCAT : The Royal Oman Police have detained a number of individuals of Asian nationality after a video circulated on social media showing violations of traffic laws and behaviour that endangered public safety, authorities said.
In a statement posted on X, the Directorate General of Traffic at the Royal Oman Police said the arrests were made after the video highlighted reckless driving practices that contravened the Traffic Law and breached public order and morals.
Police said legal procedures against those involved are being completed in accordance with applicable laws.

The Royal Oman Police reiterated its warning against dangerous driving and behaviours that threaten road safety, stressing that it will take firm action against violators to protect lives and maintain public order across the Sultanate.
