Cairo: The Arab Parliament commended the Sultanate of Oman for hosting and supporting negotiations that culminated in the prisoner exchange agreement, underscoring Muscat’s constructive role in advancing dialogue related to the Yemeni crisis.
The Parliament also affirmed the efforts, support and cooperation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, noting its sustained and tireless work aimed at reaching a comprehensive and final solution to the conflict in Republic of Yemen.
Highlighting the humanitarian dimension, the Parliament stressed that the agreement represents an important step toward easing the suffering of the Yemeni people. It reiterated its full support for all initiatives and efforts aimed at achieving security, peace and stability in Yemen, in line with the aspirations of its people.
