Muscat: Bank Muscat, the leading financial services provider in the Sultanate of Oman, celebrated the official launch of the Jadarah AI Academy and the graduation of the first batch of employees from the AI Lab Programme during a special ceremony attended by members of the Bank’s executive management, senior officials, and programme participants.
The launch of the Academy marks a key milestone in the Bank’s strategic direction to promote a culture of innovation and develop national talent in the fields of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies. This initiative supports the Bank’s digital transformation efforts and contributes to building future-ready capabilities aligned with global advancements in this vital field.
Speaking on the occasion, Sheikha Yousuf Al Farsi. Deputy CEO for Operations, Bank Muscat, stated that the launch of the Jadarah AI Academy represents an important step in the Bank’s journey to build human capital capable of adopting future technologies and enhancing operational efficiency. She added: We are proud today of our talented Omani professionals who have demonstrated exceptional creativity and innovation in AI development. The Academy represents a strategic investment in human capital and contributes to supporting the Sultanate’s digital transformation and empowering a new generation of experts in this field.”

The Jadarah AI Academy offers three main programmes: The AI and LLM Developer Programme, designed to build deep technical expertise in AI and large language models, The Techno-Functional Programme, focusing on the application of AI to enhance business decision-making and productivity, The AI Masterclass, aimed at equipping leaders with the knowledge to adopt AI responsibly within the organization.
The event featured a presentation on the achievements of the AI Lab Programme, which was established to strengthen technical capabilities and enable staff to develop innovative, AI-driven solutions. It also included an overview of the Academy’s specialized training courses designed to enhance both technical and managerial skills and to expand AI applications across banking operations and services.
Participants also showcased their AI Capstone Projects, presenting innovative solutions for integrating AI into banking operations. A short video highlighted the journey and key moments from Pitch Day, where teams presented their final projects to a panel of evaluators.
During the ceremony, participants were recognized for their outstanding performance through a series of AI Excellence Awards, which included: The AI Problem Solver Award, The AI Opportunity Explorer Award and The AI Quick Impact Award.
