Muscat: The Muscat Stock Exchange (MSX) recorded a positive close on today’s trading session, with the benchmark MSX 30 index rising 30.04 points, or 0.50 per cent, to settle at 5,985.66 points, compared to 5,955.62 points in the previous session.
Trading activity saw a notable uptick, with total turnover reaching RO 52.44 million, a 24.7 per cent increase from RO 42.07 million in the previous trading session.
The market capitalisation rose by 0.241 per cent to approximately RO 32.28 billion, reflecting improved investor sentiment.

Foreign participation remained positive during the session, with non-Omani investors recording purchases worth RO 3.58 million, accounting for 6.84 per cent of total trading value. Non-Omani sales stood at RO 2.94 million, or 5.61 per cent of total trades, resulting in a net foreign investment inflow of RO 640,000, representing 1.22 per cent of the market activity.
