Muscat: Located within Sohar Port, the refinery spans 20 hectares and represents an investment exceeding RO 150 million.
The plant has successfully completed its trial operations and achieved Category 2 standards in accordance with European specifications. It is now preparing for a gradual transition to full commercial operations by January 2026. The facility is equipped with an advanced European refining system designed to boost production efficiency while maintaining high quality standards across all stages of operation.
With an annual production capacity of one million tonnes of refined sugar, the refinery is supported by extensive storage facilities, including capacity for 500,000 tonnes of raw sugar and 70,000 tonnes of refined sugar.

Beyond production, the project strengthens the industrial ecosystem at Sohar Port and Freezone by supporting the national food security strategy, improving integration between port operations, free zone activities, and industrial supply chains, and opening new opportunities for expansion in food-related manufacturing industries.
