MUSCAT : The Oman Electricity Transmission Company (OETC) has been recognized with two prominent awards at the Oman Clean Energy Leadership Awards 2025, held on Thursday, 4 December 2025, at the Sheraton Oman Hotel in Muscat. These achievements reflect OETC’s continued commitment to operational excellence and its role in supporting Oman’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy systems.
The Oman Clean Energy Leadership Awards celebrates organizations and individuals driving impactful progress in renewable energy, smart-grid technologies, environmental stewardship, and sustainable innovation. The initiative reaffirms Oman’s commitment to advancing clean-energy solutions in line with national priorities and Oman Vision 2040.
OETC earned the Solar Company of the Year Award (Structuring Category) within the Business Excellence stream, recognizing the company’s leadership in securing Integrated Management Systems (IMS) certification. This milestone positions OETC as the first Omani entity—and among the first in the region—to attain this comprehensive accreditation. The company also received the Smart Technology Innovation of the Year Award under the Technology and Innovation Excellence stream for its development of renewable energy forecasting tools. This project showcases OETC’s commitment to adopting advanced technologies to strengthen grid readiness and improve overall system performance.

These recognitions reinforce OETC’s ongoing efforts to raise performance standards, improve network efficiency, and build a smarter, more resilient transmission system that meets the needs of today and supports the nation’s long-term energy aspirations.
OETC is responsible for transmitting and controlling electricity through the national transmission grid at voltages of 132 kV and above, with its services extending across all governorates of the Sultanate of Oman. It also manages the 220 kV interconnection lines with the GCC Interconnection Grid and operates under the Nama Group to support Oman’s goals of establishing a secure and sustainable electricity system.
