MUSCAT : The championship, organised by the Oman Table Tennis Association in cooperation with the International Table Tennis Federation, will host more than 300 elite participants from 32 countries, including powerhouses such as China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, France and England, alongside rising competitors from Australia, Brazil, India, Nigeria, Singapore, Turkey, and more. Oman, as the host nation, will also field a strong lineup.
Preliminary rounds will begin on Monday and Tuesday, followed by the highly anticipated main draw starting Wednesday. Players will compete across five categories: men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles and mixed doubles. To support optimal performance, the organising committee has designated training halls 1 and 2 for final warm-up and preparation sessions.
Oman’s national team will be represented by Muhannad Al-Balushi, Ahmed Al-Riyami, Ghassan Al-Ghasani, Luqman Al-Farsi and Bilal Al-Rashidi, who will compete in men’s singles and doubles events.
