“The future of hockey starts in our schools. Through such initiatives, we are building a strong foundation for the next generation of players in Oman,” said Dr. Marwan Juma Al Juma, Chairman of Hockey Oman.
The Hockey Oman Carnival is jointly organized by Hockey Oman and UTSC, a club registered in India with branches in Oman, UAE, and Saudi Arabia that plays a leading role in promoting hockey at the grassroots level. The Oman–India School Tournament in particular aims to nurture young talent and strengthen the pipeline of future players, reflecting Hockey Oman’s long-term vision for sustainable sports development.
More than just a sporting spectacle, the Hockey Oman Carnival is a celebration of community and culture. The Fan Village, open daily from 5:00 PM onwards, will feature live entertainment by celebrity singers, cultural performances, family activities, tug-of-war competitions, and a vintage car display. A special highlight will be a historic 600-women dance performance, set to become one of the largest in Oman’s sporting history.
“The Hockey Oman Carnival is more than a tournament — it’s a statement that Oman is the ultimate destination for hockey in the MENA region. With international players, passionate fans, and vibrant cultural experiences, we are creating history together,” added Dr. Marwan.
The event is expected to draw visitors and hockey enthusiasts from across Oman and neighboring countries, reinforcing Oman’s position as an emerging hub for sports, culture, and international friendship.
