MUSCAT – The members will begin their work by studying several topics outlined in the Council’s approved plans for the second session.
The meeting, held during the second regular session of the Council’s office for the third regular session of the tenth term (2023–2027), was chaired by His Excellency Khalid bin Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council.
During the session, several ministerial responses were reviewed, including the Cabinet’s reply regarding the acceptance of graduates from the College of Sharia Sciences who studied remotely in educational qualification courses, and the procedures to prevent foreign workers from traveling without their sponsor’s approval.

The Council also reviewed the response of the Chairman of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones on the agreement concerning the treatment of steel scrap, as well as an inquiry submitted to the Governor of North Al Batinah regarding the community contributions of mining and quarrying companies in the governorate.
