London: As part of its active participation, Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, through its promotional platform “Discover Oman,” also announced a new strategic partnership with “Discover Qatar.” The agreement aims to strengthen regional tourism cooperation by promoting multi-destination travel packages that combine the cultural and natural treasures of both nations.
Under this partnership, the two entities will collaborate to develop joint tourism packages and promotional campaigns targeting major international markets, with Italy, Spain, and China serving as pilot countries. Activities will include joint promotional tours, unified participation in global tourism events, and partnerships with leading travel companies to market integrated Oman-Qatar travel experiences.
Adding to the country’s achievements, the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, unveiled a project with luxury publisher Assouline to produce an exclusive book showcasing Oman’s cultural and tourism appeal. The book will feature as part of a global series celebrating the world’s most luxurious destinations.

Oman also celebrated the launch of “Oman, Jewel of the Arabs” in cooperation with the British-Omani Society and the Embassy of Oman in London. The book chronicles a 30-day expedition undertaken by young Omanis and British explorers along Oman’s coastline, retracing the 1928 journey of British explorer Bertram Thomas, from Ras Al Hadd in South Sharqiyah to Salalah in Dhofar, combining traditional and modern modes of travel.
In a further testament to Oman’s growing stature in global tourism, it was announced that the Sultanate is expected to host the Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) 2026 Conference, coinciding with the association’s 50th anniversary. The conference, drawing around 150 key industry figures, will focus on emerging tourism trends and strategies to promote destinations worldwide.
