MUSCAT : According to data released by the Civil Aviation Authority’s Meteorological Department on Friday, November 7, 2025, the sudden dip in temperatures marks the arrival of cooler days across several parts of the Sultanate.
Alongside Saiq’s record low, other regions such as Al Mazunah (14.8°C), Yanqul (17.5°C), and Nizwa (17.6°C) also reported drops in minimum temperatures. Eastern and southern regions including Thumrait and Bidiyah hovered around 16°C, while coastal and inland areas like Saham, Ibra, and Samail recorded temperatures just above 18°C.
While nights turned cooler, several interior parts of Oman still experienced relatively warm days. The highest temperature was recorded in Hamra Al Drooa at 35.1°C, followed closely by Fahud at 34.3°C and As Sunainah at 33.9°C. Areas such as Haima, Mukhaizna, and Mahout also remained on the warmer end of the scale, registering highs in the 33°C range.
