ABU DHABI : The initiative, managed by Q Mobility under the supervision of the Integrated Transport Centre, aims to streamline traffic flow and improve access for residents and visitors as the area undergoes rapid urban growth.
Starting today, motorists in Al Shahamah will have to pay for parking under Abu Dhabi’s newly expanded system, which introduces 3,704 paid parking slots, including 40 designated for people of determination. The system applies a Dh2 per-hour fee for standard spaces.
Q Mobility, which oversees the project, said the move responds to Al Shahamah’s growing population and increased development of schools, malls, and community facilities. “This growing activity has made it an increasingly popular destination for both residents and visitors, which has led to increased traffic and road congestion, affecting smooth access to residential and commercial buildings,” the company said.
