Muscat: The final deadline for availing the exemptions and settling outstanding fines is set for 31 December 2025.
In a statement issued, the ROP urged all concerned foreign nationals and employers to take advantage of this additional and final grace period. The move is in line with a recent circular from the Ministry of Labour, aimed at facilitating the regularization of legal status and resolving financial obligations incurred due to visa and residency violations.

- Regularization of status:
Those who wish to continue living in Oman may renew their residence permits or transfer their employment within the Sultanate. Upon verification by the Ministry of Labour, these individuals will be exempt from all fines related to the expiry of their entry or work-related residence permits. - Voluntary exit from Oman:
Foreign nationals intending to permanently leave the Sultanate will also be exempted from fines resulting from the termination of any type of non-work-related visa.
The ROP emphasized that this is a final opportunity and urged eligible individuals to take prompt action to resolve their legal status in accordance with Omani law.
