MUSCAT – The two-day workshop, which kicked off today, aims to review Oman’s circular economy roadmap and identify the key policies needed.
In its first day, the workshop explored the developments of the circular economy project in Oman. The participants took note of the observations made by the authorities concerned about baseline outcomes achieved so far.
The workshop also saw the presentation of modelling scenarios about the application of circular economy strategies and policies. It also reviewed some existing initiatives and projects in the field of circular economy in Oman with the participation of representatives of government departments, private sector establishments and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

As part of the programme of the workshop, the participants will take part in panel discussions to identity the main policies, stakeholders and partners in implementing the circular economy roadmap.
The workshop brings together experts, specialists and representatives of public and private sectors and the academic sector.
