MUSCAT – The directive applies to a range of products, including cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, potatoes, onions, garlic, chili peppers, squash, lettuce, eggplant, zucchini, okra, cabbage, carrots, watermelon, beets, cauliflower, cantaloupe, honey, and dates.
Any shipment arriving at Omani ports without prior registration will not be accepted, and the Ministry will not assume responsibility for unregistered consignments.
Importers are required to submit registration applications via email to om.pqd@mafwr.gov.om, providing all necessary documents and adhering to the approved health and agricultural standards.
The Ministry emphasised that this measure is essential to maintain plant health, consumer safety, and compliance with national agricultural regulations.
