MUSCAT: His Excellency Saeed Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology visited Dhofar Governorate and inspected the Salalah-Raysut-Mughsail road that was damaged during the tropical depression in May this year.
The minister urged authorities to find a permanent and effective solutions to raise the efficiency of the road in the wake of changing climatic conditions. The engineers have shared ideas with the minister to tackle all weather conditions in future.
Meanwhile, the Minister also visited the Port of Salalah with His Excellency Abdul Salam Al Murshidi, the Chairman of the Oman Investment Authority, where they were given an introduction about the port facilities. “The visit included an introductory briefing on the port and its plans,an introductory tour of the port’s facilities, and a one-stop shop visit,” the statement from the ministry said.
