MUSCAT – These visits aim to enhance operational efficiency, monitor market stability, and ensure a safe and fair consumer environment.

In continuation of these efforts, Khalid Issa Al Amri, Director General of the Directorate General of Consumer Services and Market Control at the Authority, conducted a field visit to North Al-Sharqiyah Governorate on the morning of Sunday, 2 November 2025, accompanied by a number of Authority officials.

The visit sought to closely assess the Authority’s ongoing efforts within the governorate to monitor markets, maintain stability, and verify the level of compliance of commercial activities with the Consumer Protection Law and its Executive Regulations. It also aimed to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the Authority and various public and private institutions in the governorate.

During the visit, the delegation reviewed the administration’s initiatives in inspection, monitoring, and awareness-raising, and discussed the complementary roles of partner entities in supporting consumer protection efforts. The visit also included a field tour of several commercial markets in the governorate to observe suppliers’ compliance with consumer protection regulations and to evaluate public interaction with the Authority’s recent awareness campaigns—efforts that contribute to enhancing transparency and improving overall market performance.

At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation emphasized the importance of intensifying monitoring activities and strengthening inter-agency cooperation to ensure a fair, stable, and safe commercial environment. The officials also praised the dedicated field efforts of the administration’s staff in North Al-Sharqiyah for their professionalism and commitment.
