SEOUL : The agreement was signed during an official visit by the Medical City delegation to the Republic of Korea. Representing Oman, Brigadier General Dr. Saleh bin Saud Al-Abri, Director General of the Medical City Hospital for Military and Security Agencies in Muscat, formalized the partnership alongside Professor Ji-Yul Lee, CEO of St. Mary’s Hospital in Seoul.
This collaboration aims to build strategic links with leading global health institutions, contributing to the advancement of healthcare services in the Sultanate and reinforcing the Medical City’s role as a regional center of excellence and innovation in military and security medicine.
As part of the visit, a dialogue session titled “The Future of Healthcare and Modern Technologies” brought together Omani and Korean specialists to explore global trends in digital health transformation. The session focused on the use of artificial intelligence and smart technologies in improving healthcare systems and patient outcomes.

The Omani delegation also toured several of South Korea’s top medical facilities, including Samsung Medical Center and Asan University Hospital. These visits provided insights into cutting-edge medical technologies, digital transformation initiatives, and advanced patient care models. Discussions also highlighted future opportunities for cooperation in medical innovation, digital health, and advanced treatment systems.
