MUSCAT – The landmark project, awarded by the Muscat Governorate through Muscat Municipality, marks a pioneering step in Oman’s tourism and eco-leisure sector. Spanning an area of 500,000 square metres, the integrated Glamping Hub will combine modern hospitality with environmental sustainability, recreation, and the rich natural beauty of the Qurayyat coastline.
According to the announcement, the Hawiyat Najm Development Project will feature a wide range of amenities, including luxury glamping units and caravan areas, green open spaces, cycling and walking paths, sports and recreation zones, and public facilities designed to accommodate families and visitors year-round.
The glamping area will be able to host up to 144 visitors per day. The project will also include a water recycling and desalination station, waste recycling systems, and smart informational signage highlighting the area’s natural and cultural heritage.
An exhibition hall will provide a dedicated space to showcase local family and artisanal products, creating new opportunities for small businesses and rural communities. Visitors will also enjoy children’s play areas, outdoor activities, and dedicated event venues for community and tourism events.
Beyond its environmental goals, the project is expected to generate significant local employment and investment opportunities across multiple sectors, including project management and operations, retail outlets, food and beverage services, event hosting, and local product showcases.
