KUWAIT : The 55th meeting of the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee, held in Kuwait, brought together ministers of industry from member states to align strategies and promote manufacturing growth across the region.
His Excellency Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, Secretary General of the GCC, reaffirmed that the Council’s member states are united in their vision to elevate the industrial sector as a driver of prosperity and diversification. Speaking at the meeting, chaired by His Excellency Khalifa Abdullah Al-Ajil, Kuwait’s Minister of Trade and Industry, Al-Budaiwi highlighted the GCC Industrial Cooperation Committee’s pivotal role in supporting joint Gulf efforts in this field.
He emphasized that the GCC’s “blessed journey” has yielded remarkable achievements under the guidance of Their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of the member countries. These milestones, he said, reflect the Council’s success in fostering cooperation and achieving integration across various sectors, particularly industry, an area now viewed as vital to the region’s economic future.

Al-Budaiwi noted that the need to boost manufacturing and add value to the region’s resources has never been more pressing. He called for integrated strategies and advanced industrial policies that prioritize innovation, modern technology, and investment in robust industrial infrastructure.
