MUSCAT : The initiatives, scheduled for completion by 2025, include several strategic projects aimed at increasing local food production and ensuring long-term sustainability. Among them is a wheat cultivation and production project by Hamalil Al-Sunaina Company, spanning 200 acres with an investment value of RO 280,000. Another key initiative is an integrated white meat production project by Modern Farms Company, covering 818 acres with an investment of up to RO 14 million.
In addition to these, multiple animal and plant production ventures are being developed to diversify the governorate’s food resources and enhance self-sufficiency.
In Al Sunaynah alone, investments in the food security sector exceeded RO 17 million in 2023, reached over RO 3 million in 2024, and are projected to hit RO 2.5 million in 2025.
