TEHRAN : The Omani delegation was led by H.E. Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal Al Busaidi, Minister of Interior, who expressed the Sultanate’s deep appreciation to the Islamic Republic of Iran for the invitation, underscoring the strength of the bilateral relations between the two nations.
H.E. Al Busaidi highlighted that Oman’s participation as guest of honor reflects the enduring bonds of friendship, mutual respect, and constructive cooperation shared by the two countries across various sectors. He emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration among the Organization’s interior ministries, particularly amid current regional and international challenges.


He noted that greater coordination in areas within the Organization’s mandate, such as border management, countering drug trafficking, and combating cybercrime, would bolster security, stability, and sustainable development across the region.

The meeting served as a vital platform to discuss joint mechanisms for addressing shared security challenges and enhancing information exchange, expertise sharing, and training among member states’ security agencies.
Accompanying H.E. Al Busaidi were Major General Abdullah bin Ali Al Harthy, Assistant Inspector General of Police and Customs for Operations, and H.E. Ambassador Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashel Al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Neighbourhood Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
