MUSCAT : Muscat Municipality has renewed its warning against dumping waste in wadis, stressing that the practice damages the environment, obstructs natural flood channels, and heightens the risk of flooding during heavy rains.

The municipality noted that waste accumulation in wadis not only endangers public safety but also tarnishes the city’s natural landscape and aesthetic appeal.

Authorities continue to carry out regular clean-up operations to ensure wadis remain clear and safe, while urging residents to dispose of waste responsibly.

The municipality reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding the environment and preserving Muscat’s natural beauty through ongoing awareness drives and field monitoring efforts.
