MINSK : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik departed the Republic of Belarus on Tuesday after a two-day state visit, marking a new chapter in Oman–Belarus relations.
At the forefront of those bidding farewell to His Majesty at Minsk airport was President Aleksandr Lukashenko, underscoring the warmth and significance of the visit.
During the talks held in Minsk, both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation, announcing plans to open embassies in Muscat and Minsk to facilitate stronger diplomatic, trade, and investment ties.

Before his departure, His Majesty sent a message of gratitude to President Lukashenko, expressing sincere appreciation for the generous hospitality and warm reception extended to him and his delegation.
His Majesty also praised the constructive discussions held with the Belarusian President, emphasizing their shared vision to enhance cooperation across key sectors and open new avenues for partnership and investment serving mutual interests.
