RIYADH : The agreement was formalized between Oman’s Cyber Defense Center and Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority, under the framework of the Security and Justice Coordination Committee of the Omani-Saudi Coordination Council.
Signed by Eng. Khamis bin Salem Al-Hajri, Head of Oman’s Cyber Defense Center, and Eng. Majid bin Mohammed Al-Mazyad, Governor of Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority, the MoU seeks to integrate efforts, foster joint partnerships, and exchange expertise in safeguarding cyberspace.
Officials said the pact will enhance digital stability and security, build bilateral cooperation in cyber defense, and develop national capabilities to respond to evolving cyber threats. It also focuses on protecting vital infrastructure and limiting the risks of malicious attacks, ensuring a safer and more reliable cyberspace for both nations.
