MUSCAT: Expat community schools in Oman following international curriculum will also reopen in November, a top Ministry of Education official said on Thursday.

Addressing the press conference, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of Ministry of Education said that expat schools are excluded from closing due to the special calendar they are following. “Expat community schools and international schools are excluded due to the special calendar they are following. They are currently following online classes and it will continue until November 1 and will start normal schooling in November like any other government schools in the country,” he said.

According to Ambusaidi, the community schools can also follow the “mix system of students attending schools and online classes.”

Last month, the Supreme Committee had announced that schools in the country will reopen in November.
