WASHINGTON : U.S. President Donald Trump on Sunday voiced confidence that a breakthrough on peace in the Middle East was within reach, pledging that his administration would “get it done” as negotiations continue over the conflict in Gaza.
In a message posted on his Truth Social platform, Trump said there was “a real chance for greatness in the Middle East” and insisted that all parties were “on board for something special — for the first time ever.”
The president’s remarks come ahead of a White House meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, where officials say discussions will center on building a framework for a possible agreement.

Trump had earlier described the talks as “intense” and confirmed that both Israel and Hamas were aware of the discussions taking place. He stressed that negotiations would carry on “as long as required” to secure progress.
The administration has not released details on the terms under consideration, but U.S. diplomats maintain that recent exchanges represent the most significant momentum toward peace in years.
