MUSCAT- The Sultanate of Oman took part in a high-level meeting to mark the 30th anniversary of the World Programme of Action for Youth, held on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Oman’s delegation joined member states in reaffirming their commitment to advancing youth development and addressing global challenges facing young people. The World Programme of Action for Youth, adopted by the UN in 1995, serves as a policy framework to improve the quality of life for young people worldwide.
The discussions highlighted the role of youth in driving sustainable development, peacebuilding, and innovation, with calls for stronger international cooperation to ensure opportunities for the younger generation.
