MUSCAT : The three-day exhibition is set to spotlight innovation in handicrafts while strengthening the role of Omani entrepreneurs in modern markets.

The event brings together 30 craft stalls alongside business centres and incubators from the Wilayats of Bahla, Al Jabal Al Akhdar, and Samail. It aims to give Omani craftsmen greater visibility, promote their unique skills, and introduce fresh mechanisms to modernize and market traditional products.

Rahma bint Mohammed Al Harrasi, Acting Director of the SMEs Development Department in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, said the exhibition not only showcases creativity but also provides a platform for knowledge exchange. This year’s edition includes the participation of three craft establishments specializing in modern technologies and machinery, both from within and outside Oman.

In addition to displays, the exhibition will host six training workshops covering artificial intelligence applications, innovation in handicrafts, pricing and marketing strategies, and expansion into international markets. These sessions are designed to equip artisans with tools to merge heritage with innovation and compete globally.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Saleh bin Dhiyab Al Rubaie, Wali of Nizwa, underscoring its significance as a cultural and economic initiative.
