Muscat: The final stage of the fifth edition of the tour, covering 120 kilometers from Al Dahariz Beach to Wadi Darbat in Taqah, saw Jassim edge out Japan’s Shoma Kazama of Shimano Racing and Malaysia’s Mattias Bryggenhaug of Team Terengganu, who finished second and third respectively. The Slovenian Amani team was named the best team of the stage.
The overall gold jersey went to Malaysian rider Adni Weliman of Team Terengganu, while Jassim also secured the green jersey for points classification and the white jersey for the Under-23 category. Omani cyclist Mohammed Al Wahaibi was honored with the grey jersey as the ‘fighting cyclist’. Meanwhile, the Thai Rojai Insurance team was awarded the Tour’s best team prize.


Organised by Dhofar Municipality in cooperation with the Oman Cycling Federation and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, the tour attracted 68 professional cyclists from across the world. Fifteen teams, including national squads from Oman, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE, and Thailand, competed alongside international outfits from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the United States.

Saif bin Sebaa Al Rashidi, Chairman of the Oman Cycling Federation, hailed the success of the event, noting that the Salalah Tour has firmly established itself on the International Cycling Union’s (UCI) calendar.

In addition to the four main stages, this year’s tour introduced the “Dhofar Classic” race, a 174-kilometer challenge designed to showcase the natural beauty of the governorate. With over RO 41.8 million invested in ongoing projects across the region, officials highlighted the event’s dual role in promoting both sport and sustainable development.
