GAZA – In a statement, the Hamas said: “We have received some ideas from the American side through mediators to reach a ceasefire agreement. Accordingly, Hamas welcomes any move that helps in the efforts being made to stop the aggression against our people.”
The movement affirmed that it “is ready immediately to sit at the negotiating table to discuss the release of all prisoners in exchange for a clear declaration of an end to the war, a full withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, and the formation of a Palestinian-led administration committee to assume its duties immediately, while ensuring that the Israeli occupation publicly and explicitly adheres to the agreements to prevent a recurrence of previous experiences.”
“Accordingly,” the statement concluded, “the movement remains in continuous contact with mediators to develop these ideas into a comprehensive agreement that meets the Palestinians’ demands.”
