MUSCAT : The case involved a complaint filed by a consumer who had agreed to purchase a vehicle from the establishment for RO 2,800, based on specific terms and conditions. The consumer paid an advance amount of RO 900.
However, the establishment did not inform the consumer that the vehicle was under maintenance, which led to delays and procrastination in delivering the vehicle. It also refused to refund the amount paid upon his request.
Following the complaint from the consumer, the CPA intervened and facilitated a settlement, resulting in the full refund of the RO 900 advance payment to the consumer.
