MOSCOW : Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters that Moscow remains interested in talks to achieve its objectives in Ukraine but denied reports of an agreement to halt strikes. He stressed that Russian forces would continue targeting Ukrainian military facilities, claiming the strikes were “successful” in destroying designated targets.
At the same time, Peskov accused Ukraine of launching attacks on Russian infrastructure, alleging that such strikes frequently endangered civilians. He also emphasized that any serious discussions on resolving the conflict “must be conducted in complete secrecy.”
The latest escalation came after Ukrainian officials reported that a Russian drone and missile barrage on Kyiv killed 15 people and injured at least 45 more. The overnight strikes damaged residential buildings and the European Union’s mission headquarters in the capital, according to local sources.
